In an extraordinary case, a Victorian man involved in a car crash and pronounced dead by paramedics was later to be found alive. The 30 year old was trapped upside down in a car wreck in the early hours of Sunday morning. Paramedics worked on the man for over 20 minutes but pronounced the man dead. It was only when the coroner’s assistants later came to remove the man and noticed him moving underneath a tarp, that it was found the man in fact had a weak pulse and was still alive. The ambulances which had since left the scene were called back and the man was taken to hospital.
