Does The Provide First Aid Course Include The CPR Certificate?

Yes. The Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) course includes the Provide CPR course (unit of competency HLTAID009). Students who successfully complete the course will be issued with the Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment which includes this unit of competence for CPR.

Does Provide First Aid/ Provide CPR Include The Use Of A Pocket Mask?

Yes, both the Provide CPR and the Provide First Aid (including CPR) can contain instruction on how to use a pocket mask and face shield. The Provide First Aid course does meet the entry requirements of the NSW Police Force.

You need to contact us first, before attending the course, if you require this confirmation for your NSWPF application. You will need also need to let the trainer know you require this on the day of the course to complete this.

When Does A First Aid Certificate Expire?

A Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) certificate stays valid (current) for three years from date of issue. The date of issue is typically the date of which you completed the training course.

How Long Does An Provide First Aid Certificate Remain Valid (Current)?

A provide First Aid (HLTAID011) certificate remains valid for 3 years from date of issue. To ensure your certificate remains current you should complete a Refresher/Update course before the expiry date.

Are The First Aid Certificates “WorkCover” or SafeWork NSW Approved?

Yes. The Provide First Aid Course (HLTAID011) and Provide CPR qualifications are the industry standard nationally recognised first aid qualifications that will meet the requirements of most (i.e low-risk) workplaces as outlined in the SafeWork Australia Code of Practice: First Aid in the Workplace.

Are The First Aid Certificates Nationally Accredited?

Yes. All our accredited First Aid Courses are nationally accredited under the Australian Qualification Framework system. Our First Aid certificates (statements of attainment) are issued through Healthcorp, a Registered Training Organisation.

I Need A First Aid Certificate For My Workplace – What Course Do I Need To Complete?

The Provide First Aid course is the industry standard First Aid course that will meet the First Aid qualification requirements of most workplaces. This course is both Nationally Recognised and is the unit of competency endorsed by the Code of Practice: First Aid in the Workplace.

Does It Matter If I Did My Previous Certificate Through Another Training Provider?

Not at all – with us, it doesn’t matter which training organisation you have previously completed your training with. There is also no need to provide your previous certificate to us!

Why Do I Need To Renew My First Aid Certificate?

It is a recommendation by the Code of Practice: First Aid in the Workplace (a code to guide workplaces in meeting the requirements of the Work Health and Safety Act and the Work Health and Safety Regulation) that workplace first aiders renew their first aid qualification every three years and their CPR qualification annually. This is to allow first aiders to refresh their first aid knowledge and skills and to confirm their competence to provide first aid.

My First Aid Certificate Expired On… Can I Still Do An Update (Refresher) Course?

Yes this isn’t a problem if your previous certificate has expired. We offer a standard course format for all participants which includes pre-course e-learning. For those updating their qualification, they may wish to go directly to the assessment component, if they feel competent, to save themselves some time.

Can I complete the CPR assessments with the manikin on a table?

Unfortunately, not for the adult CPR. The first aid and CPR units of competency now stipulate that the adult CPR must be performed on an adult resuscitation manikin placed on the floor

Can I bring someone (child, carer) with the course with me?

To be fair on our trainers and our course participants, children are not permitted to attend our courses. If you requirer a support person or carer to attend with you, this person also needs to be enrolled and paid in the same course.

How Do I Receive My E-Learning?

You will receive your e-learning details and instructions via email once you complete you complete the enrolment form at our website and finalise your course fee payment.

What Are The Direct Deposit Details?

What Is The Venue For My First Aid Course?

We use a number of different venues for our public First Aid training courses. To find the venue of a particular course, select your course on the First Aid course timetable and click ‘Enrol’. The venue details will be listed here.

What Do I Need To Bring To The First Aid Course?

You will need to bring the following to our First Aid courses:
– a form of identification (e.g.- a drivers licence, passport, birth certificate)
– a pen to write with
– your USI (unique student identifier)

When/How Do I Pay For The First Aid Course?

You will need to complete the payment of the course fee prior to the day of the course. You can pay via credit card at our website or direct deposit.

Can I Enrol More Then One Person Into A Course?

Yes you can. On out First Aid course timetable page, click the enrol link of the course of your choice and on the next page select how many participants you wish to enrol.

Do I need to do a pre-course learning for the Provide First Aid course?

Yes, with the Blended format you are required to complete a pre-course e-learning. There is an option to go immediately to assessment (exam) if you feel confident. Instructions for the pre-course e-learning is emailed to you upon enrolment in a course.
