In an emergency, when your under pressure and the adrenaline is running, it can be very hard to remember who to call, which numbers to dial and what your location is. Well your Angry Birds app won’t help you but new (and FREE!) Emergency+ app can solve these problems and more.

Release by Australia’s Triple Zero Awareness Working Group, the smart phone application for both Android and Apple devices allows you to call the right number at the right time, in the event of an emergency. It provide the caller with information about when to call Triple Zero and who to call in various non-emergency situations.

On the home screen, Emergency+ provide a simple, easy to use interface that provide direct links to dial Triple 000, State Emergency Service (SES) and the Police Assistance Line. It also provides location information – displaying the GPS coordinates and street address of the phone’s location. This information can then be read out to the emergency operator when calling for help.

Emergency+ smartphone app also provides information and access numbers for other non-emergency situations. These include Crime Stoppers (1800 333 000), Health Direct Australia (1800 022 222) and the National Relay Service.
